Reasons for entry in :Science & Technology As a qualified engineer (BEng Hons) I have an in-depth understanding of science and technology. Science gives us the information to make sense of the world around us, and it should be fun, exciting and cutting edge, yet so many people find it impenetrable and frightening. I would love to find a way to flip that around - make it more approachable and communicate the passion and excitement I have for the subject to others.
Reasons for entry in :Property After graduating with a degree in Textile Engineering and Business Studies, I started my own property business in 2003. I began buying up dilapidated houses and renovating them on a shoestring. My high spec/low budget designs attracted the attention of a highly successful London interior design consultancy and I moved on to become Head of Design, working with prestigious clients such as Faberge and Miramax Films. I also continue to renovate houses, and may be one of the few people still making a profit in a very unsteady market! I\'d love the chance to pass on my passion for property development and interior design to the public, and hopefully help people to keep hold of their hard earned money whilst achieving the best results.
Reasons for entry in :Travel I love to travel. Absolutely LOVE it! The moment I was free from education I strapped on a backpack and headed out to see the world. But there\'s so much world out there and even after a year of solid travelling and several long holidays since, I still have so much left to see. However, so far I\'ve managed adventures from riding on the top of a train in India, to burning leeches off my legs in the oldest Jungle in the world (in Malaysia, in case you fancy a visit?). I\'ve talked politics with holy men in Japan and shared peanuts with eunuchs - and monkeys in Pakistan. The world is an adventure playground and seeing how others live, and breaking bread with them, allows us to understand each other a little bit more. If I could bring people a little closer together by showing them what opportunities are out there, then I\'d be over the moon.
Previous Presenting Work: I have an MA in Screen Acting from Drama Centre London, and have several years experience as a voice over performer. In voice over I have appeared in several prominent commercials for radio and television (British Airways, Veet, HMV). I have also presented on Current TV, several internet broadcasts and in Corporate films.

Interests / Passions: I love anything where I get the chance to learn - not just studying, but experiencing the world and how we interact with it. From travel to Art, Politics to cooking up miniature science experiments in my kitchen (some of it even edible), I'm happy to immerse myself in any subject. I'm also really useful in a pub quiz!
