Who's behind Getpresenting.com?

The team behind Getpresenting.com are all currently working within the Broadcast Industry, including a producer, a development producer, director and presenter. We realised the resource which would make our lives in production & presenting a lot easier simply wasn't there, so we created it!

Who is Getpresenting.com for?

The website is designed to serve both presenters and production equally, worldwide. We offer production companies a unique searching system, saving them time and money finding the right presenter for their productions, and we offer TV and Radio presenters the chance to show off their skills, knowledge or passion for programme subjects.

How is Getpresenting.com different to other sites?

We are the only online resource where producers and production companies can search by programme genre / subject category, for both experienced and undiscovered, new talent presenters. We also don't charge production people to search the site, meaning they will use the site more and increase our members' chances of being found.

Are you an Agency?

No. We are simply a window for TV / Radio companies and Producers to search for, and contact, suitable presenters.

Why is it important to list myself by subject areas that I have knowledge, experience or a real passion for?

Getpresenting.com reflects the current requirements of the industry. Programmes which are based around a certain subject area, such as Property, Travel, Food or Business for example, now require presenters who have knowledge or expertise in those subjects, or at the very least can demonstrate a real passion for the programme subject. Sarah Beeny for example brings great expertise to the Channel 4 show Property Ladder, Trinny and Susannah are fashion experts, Peter Jones is an experienced entrepreneur and business man, Gillian McKeith is a health expert, Kim and Aggie from How Clean Is Your House have a great knowledge of hygiene, etc. Being passionate about the subject area is equally as important. A production company would much rather have a presenter who is passionate and very interested in the programme subject matter than someone who doesn't really care. More and more programmes require a credible presenter, and Getpresenting.com allows production companies, who have a programme but need a presenter for it, to search for a presenter by their programme genre or subject area.

No current programme subject categories are suitable for my knowledge or interests, what can I do about this?

Simply tell us which individual subject category you would like to be added, and we will create a whole new category, and list you with-in it. However, it must still be one title only, trying to merge two or more separate categories into one category is not suitable.

I don't feel I have expertise, knowledge or passion for a particular programme subject, what should I do?

The "GENERAL" category is available in both the "New Talent" and "Experienced" sections for those presenters who are keen to work in any genre or programme, and who don't have special expertise, knowledge or passion in any individual programme subject areas.

Can I list myself in more than 2 or 3 subject categories?

Yes. Should you wish to list yourself in more subject categories, then you can purchase extra subject category listings. You will be informed how in your welcome email once you have joined the site. We charge a fee for this, so members don't abuse the site by listing themselves in every subject category, thereby devaluing the search system.

Which section should I list myself in, New Talent or Experienced?

If you have been a sole presenter, or co-presenter for a broadcast TV series or radio programme, then you are classed as an experienced presenter. If you have not, then you will be listed in the New Talent section.

Do I need to be a member of Equity?

No. Everyone is welcome to join the site.

How do I pay?

We use secure online payment service provider PayPal.com. (Trusted by Ebay)

How long before my profile is online?

Your membership page will be online and ready for you to edit personally as soon as your payment clears.

Can you help me find presenting work?

We can't guarantee you work, but we can guarantee that you will be giving yourself a real advantage to be found by a production person. By listing yourself in dedicated subject categories, programme producers will know you are a serious option, and your skills, knowledge and passion won't be lost in the lists of other web sites. As a member you will also receive job alert emails when we are made aware of a presenter vacancy.

How do I supply photos and a show reel?

Once you have submitted the membership form, you will then have the opportunity to upload pictures and a show reel if applicable. However you do not have to add any images or show reel at this stage as you will be able to ammend, update and change all aspects of your Presenter Profile by logging in to your account.

Can I change and update my profile, pictures and show reel?

Yes - your log in details will allow you edit every aspect of your Presenter Profile - including pictures, show reel, subject categories and contact information.
